What You Are Committing To
No surprises. Here is what you are saying yes to.
Up to four years, one year at a time. A meeting most weeks with your band, an hour or so, usually in a home. Reading most days, about ten pages, the same pages as your son. A handful of books each quarter, yours to buy. A journal you keep, same as he does. A few assignments each quarter, written and lived.
Twice a year, a Trial in the wilderness. Cold, effort, and the best memories you and your son will make.
And at the end, a morning years in the making. The men stand together. The sons are declared men. Yours among them.
But the real thing you are committing to is your son. Years beside him at the age most fathers lose them. A deep bond that lasts a lifetime.
It is a real commitment. That is the point. A son can tell the difference between something his father fit into the cracks and something his father refused to miss. This is the second kind.
What Happens Next
Once you step in, a welcome email arrives. The Father's Forge opens to you: eight weeks of preparation for the fathers, done together before your sons begin. Within a couple of weeks, your welcome box follows with the journals and everything else you need to start. And to gather your band, we hand you what it takes to bring other fathers in. You do not figure that part out alone.
