1. Who We Are
Bear the Fire (“Bear the Fire,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a brand owned and operated by Ignem Feram LLC, a Georgia limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information about you when you visit bearthefire.com (the “Site”), join our email list, create a member account, or purchase our yearly offerings or merchandise (together, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
Contact information. Your name and email address when you join our email list, create an account, make a purchase, or contact us.
Account information. Login credentials and profile details for the Bear the Fire member portal, which is hosted on the Kajabi platform.
Purchase and shipping information. Billing name, shipping address, and phone number so we can process your order and ship your welcome merchandise.
Payment information. Payments are processed by third-party payment processors (such as Stripe, Kajabi Payments, and PayPal) through our platform provider. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Communications. The contents of messages you send us, such as emails or support requests. We do not ask for and do not want sensitive personal information (such as health, medical, or mental-health details) — please do not include it in messages to us. If you do, we will treat it as a private communication and use it only to respond to you.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information using cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, including your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, links clicked, and the dates and times of your visits. See our Cookie Policy for details and choices.
Information from third parties
We may receive information about you from the service providers that operate parts of the Services on our behalf, such as our platform provider (Kajabi), payment processors, email delivery services, analytics providers, and advertising platforms.
3. How We Use Your Information
To provide the Services, including operating the Site, managing your account and enrollment, and delivering our materials and member content.
To process payments and fulfill orders, including shipping welcome merchandise to you.
To communicate with you about your account, purchases, and orders (transactional messages).
To send marketing and educational emails, such as newsletters and announcements. You can unsubscribe at any time.
To understand how the Services are used and to improve them (analytics).
To advertise and market the Services, including measuring ad performance and showing you relevant ads on other platforms.
To protect the Services, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
We may also use aggregated or de-identified information — data that can no longer reasonably be used to identify you — for analytics, research, and improving the Services.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described below:
Service providers. Companies that perform services on our behalf, including Kajabi (website platform, member portal, checkout, and email delivery), payment processors (such as Stripe and PayPal), shipping and fulfillment providers, analytics providers (such as Google Analytics), and technical support vendors. These providers may access your information only to perform services for us.
Advertising partners. We may use advertising cookies and pixels (such as the Meta pixel and Google advertising tags) that share limited information about your visit with those platforms for ad measurement and retargeting. Under some U.S. state privacy laws this may be considered a “sale” of personal information or “targeted advertising,” and you have the right to opt out — see Section 7.
Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Bear the Fire, our members, or others.
Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, your information may be transferred as a business asset.
With your consent. For any other purpose disclosed to you at the time of collection or with your direction.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, analytics, and advertising. For a full description of the cookies we use and how to manage them, please read our Cookie Policy, which is part of this Privacy Policy.
6. Email Marketing and Your Choices
If you join our email list or make a purchase, we may send you marketing emails. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional emails we need to send you about your account, billing, or orders.
7. Your U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on the state you live in, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:
Access / know. Confirm whether we process your personal information and receive a copy of it.
Correction. Request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
Deletion. Request that we delete personal information we hold about you.
Portability. Receive a copy of your personal information in a portable format.
Opt out. Opt out of targeted advertising and of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information as those terms are defined by applicable state law.
Non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@bearthefire.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will explain the outcome of your appeal. Where required by law, we honor opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC).
You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may require proof of the agent’s authority and verification of your identity.
8. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations (such as tax and accounting requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
9. Data Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, and we rely on the security practices of our established service providers (including Kajabi and our payment processors) for the systems they operate. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Services are intended for adults age 18 and older. Member accounts belong to the enrolled father, and we do not offer accounts or portal access to minors. Although our content is about fatherhood and raising children, the Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at info@bearthefire.com and we will delete it.
11. International Visitors
The Services are operated from the United States and are directed to a U.S. audience. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative, and your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Services, you consent to this transfer and processing.
12. Third-Party Sites and Services
The member portal and checkout are hosted by Kajabi, and payments are handled by third-party processors; their handling of your information is also governed by their own privacy policies. The Site may link to other websites we do not control, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on the Site and revise the “Last Updated” date above. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice, such as by email. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
